 Troy's
oldest citizen was on-hand that day to meet the President. Shown here is the
President talking to 101 year old Mrs. Jim Bob Robertson. Later in the President's
address to the crowd he talked about meeting Ms. Robertson and told everyone that,
"She may be a 101, but she's still kisses real good." Mrs. Robertson was truly a remarkable women. If you'll look over the man holding the camera to the left of the President, you will see her grandson Ricky Kersey (in the yellow shirt) watching proudly as his grandmother has a casual conversation with the most powerful man in the world. Everyone that knew her knows that she didn't treat him any different than she would have anyone else. |
 While pointing her
finger at the President of the Untied States of America, Mrs. Robertson gave him some good
solid advice on how to balance the budget. She told him, "You have got to quit
spending more money than you take in!" |
Prior
to the President's arrival, everyone had to be checked through a security checkpoint
manned by the Uniformed Section of the U.S. Secret Service.
